Maria Soriano was born and raised in the Philippines where she earned her degree in Business Management . After college, she worked at a boutique hotel as Guest Relations Manager. She lived in San Francisco and Hawaii before relocating to Kamakura, Japan.

Maria has been teaching English since she came to Japan and works as a preschool teacher at an international school . She enjoys traveling and has been to different places in the United States, Europe and Asia. A recent move to a new home, "Up on a Hill" in Inamuragasaki and her love for entertaining and decorating inspired her to start a new business and pleasure adventure-events planning .
